Losing weight is hard. Keeping it off is harder.

If you're here, then you've been down this road before - or you're on it now. You know well and good that losing weight is not near as easy as it sounds. Sure, the concepts are simple. Just eat right and exercise and you'll lose weight. We all know it. That's no secret. But do that for just two days and it can feel like hell on earth. You're hungry, tired, sore, mentally exhausted...and wanting to give up and start again another day. Have you ever stopped to think about what's really going on?

Why is it such a battle?

Why do we give up and start over...a lot?

Why can't we just stick with anything long enough to see the change we want?

Why does the life we want...and the body we want...seem so far out of reach?

Why does food have such a strong pull on us?

What's really going on here?

There's so much more going on below the surface that pulls the strings and causes us to give up on getting our bodies right. Most of the advice out there is all about the outward stuff. "Do these exercises." "Eat these foods." "Try these tricks." "Take these supplements." But few are hitting on the real issues - the stuff below the surface, deep on the inside.

That's what For Real This Time is all about.

Hey, I'm Brian.

Living with extra weight sucks. I know. I've been there. It can feel like it's a constant battle. Everyday is like a fight to see just a little change and full of wishful thinking of a life that you hope is possible - you know is possible - just always out of reach.

I've lost more weight than I can count. I lost it and regained it, over and over again. It wasn't until I realized what was really causing the problem, and how to fix it, that I finally saw the change I needed. In fact, everything changed.

On the outside, I lost 120lbs. On the inside I lost even more weight - just none that you could measure with a bathroom scale. I started For Real This Time to help others do the same thing - lose the REAL weight so they can finally lose all the other weight.

This is about more than just "being healthy" and finally fitting into the clothes you want to wear. This is about you becoming the person you're supposed to be - the real you. You are not the person you think you are. It's time to lose the weight. It's time to become you again.

Don't believe what you see in the mirror.

The person you see in the mirror is not you.

You've been lied to. You've been convinced that who you see when you look at yourself is the real you. You know somewhere deep inside that there's a better version of you - the real you - but they're trapped. They are stuck in a prison of limiting beliefs and hidden under a shell of "excess weight".

The excess weight on the outside is just a symptom. It's not the real you. Something went wrong somewhere in your story and in an effort to fix the problem - or cope with it - changes slowly happened in the brain, affecting the body. Years of this wrong way thinking and "dealing" has produced another version of you - one who is overweight, unhappy, stressed, and using food as a safety net for when things start feeling uncomfortable.

It's time to fix it. It's time to find the real problem. It's time to get the "real you" back.

The mission here is simple: to help you lose weight, quit starting over, and become the real you. My goal is to help you live from your heart again, retrain your brain to make the right choices, and, of course, get the body you really want.
